{"id":4809,"date":"2025-05-31T14:18:58","date_gmt":"2025-05-31T11:18:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fbo.bg\/?p=4809"},"modified":"2025-12-12T23:44:23","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T21:44:23","slug":"b-glocal-project-wraps-up-with-impactful-results-on-senior-climate-engagement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fbo.bg\/en\/b-glocal-project-wraps-up-with-impactful-results-on-senior-climate-engagement\/","title":{"rendered":"B-Glocal Project Wraps Up with Impactful Results on Senior Climate Engagement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>B-Glocal<\/strong> project successfully raised awareness, strengthened personal responsibility for sustainability, and motivated older adults to shift their daily habits and engage more actively in local climate action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Three organisations \u2013 <strong>Media Creativa 2020<\/strong> (Spain), <strong>Drossostalida<\/strong> (Greece), and the <strong>Business Foundation for Education<\/strong> (Bulgaria) \u2013 joined forces to involve people aged 55+ in climate-related topics at the community level. According to a Eurobarometer survey, this age group \u2013 comprising one-fifth of Europe&#8217;s population \u2013 is the least informed and active when it comes to climate responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over just 16 months, <strong>B-Glocal<\/strong> developed a comprehensive educational programme for older adults, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds. The project delivered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A multilingual digital platform featuring<a href=\"https:\/\/www.b-glocal.eu\/micro-lessons-on-climate-change\/\"> <strong>9 micro lessons<\/strong><\/a> on key topics such as food, water, waste, transport, and climate policy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.b-glocal.eu\/40-days-challenge\/\"><strong>40-day challenge activities<\/strong> and <strong>interactive digital games<\/strong><\/a> designed to inspire small habit changes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.b-glocal.eu\/handbook-for-trainers\/\">A <strong>Trainer\u2019s Handbook<\/strong><\/a> offering practical tips, methods, and tools for facilitating engaging climate-related events and learning sessions in the community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/fbo.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/B-Glocal-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fbo.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/B-Glocal-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/fbo.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/B-Glocal-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fbo.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/B-Glocal-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fbo.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/B-Glocal-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/fbo.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/B-Glocal-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/fbo.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/B-Glocal-600x338.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All resources were validated by adult education and environmental experts in each partner country. Local pilot workshops with seniors confirmed their value and relevance.
