The Ladies first! team reached a very crucial moment of the project’s implementation – the start of the pilot phase. To prepare and organize the process the partners gathered in Sofia for a 1-week Learning activity from the 10th till the 14th, December, 2018, and practiced in real training environment theory and tools from all the elaborated modules that will support the professionals working with women for achieving work-life balance.
As part of the Learning activities two study visits took place. The Ladies first! team met Svetla Toneva – Director of Vocational Training Center, Workers’ Education and Training College. She presented in detail two of their projects related to gender equality and overcoming discrimination – Getup: Gender Equality Training and Practices in Education & Labour Market and Teaching in Diversity http://www.teach-d.eu/. Then she got acquainted with the objectives and the achievements of the Ladies first! team and an active exchange of ideas and opinions followed.
The other study visit was part of the national training for career practitioners organized by Център за развитие на човешките ресурси (ЦРЧР) in Sofia. Around 60 career counsellors from all over the country also heard more about the Ladies first! projects and its intellectual outputs that the career and training professionals community will benefit from.
