The largest training program – Youth Career Academy (MAK) is launched

The main goal of the Youth Career Academy (MAK) is to connect Generation Z with the labor market and give young people a chance to acquire the important and missing skills for employment, so that they can not only adapt faster in the companies where they start working, but also be much more successful. YCA is a joint initiative of JobTiger , ISIC and the Business Foundation for Education.

Through the training program, the organizers and their partners aim to address a fundamental gap in the education system in Bulgaria, which leads to a significant lack of soft skills among otherwise qualified young people in the country. This is how MAK was born – an exclusive program in which, through training courses and mentoring from leading companies in Bulgaria, students and young people have the opportunity to acquire and upgrade a number of skills for successful career development. The online training courses are available anywhere, anytime and on any device with an internet connection.

The Youth Career Academy launched in November and is enjoying great interest from students and young people in the country. Nearly 200 people have already registered for the program and are undergoing courses on Career, Digital and Entrepreneurial skills in a total of 26 training modules, and in the coming weeks the training provided by MAK and the program’s partner companies will expand.

All 120,000 ISIC cardholders aged up to 29, students and graduates, are invited to take part. The training includes online courses and mentoring in various categories, such as Career and Digital Skills, Entrepreneurship, Professions of the Future, etc.

The companies participating in the program have the opportunity to work with the most committed and inquisitive students and young people and provide them with valuable advice and knowledge from practice. After completing the MAK, the participants are several steps ahead in their own development and career development – they are already trained personnel, have upgraded themselves and developed skills that take years of professional experience, often remaining unattainable for a large part of the new generation.  MAK is the step that prepares young people for the real world and puts them at the level that employers expect from them.
