The Business Foundation for Education joined the Children’s Bazaar of professions. The initiative is organized by the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact for the fifth consecutive year and is the largest public exhibition for presenting professions to students from companies and professionals.
The career fair was held on November 22-23, 2019 at Sofia Tech Park with the participation of 20 organizations, over 40 lecturers and more than 2000 visitors – students and parents.
On November 22, 2019, Nevena Rakovska presented the unique “Traveler in the Future” career game that introduces students and young people to the professions of the future through adventure missions in a 3D virtual world.
The game has been created under the European project FUTURE, which provokes young people aged 13 to 19 to share what the professions of the future will look like and career counselors to create innovative games and career guidance tools.
The Children’s Bazaar of Professions is part of the Proud of My Parents initiative of the UN Global Compact Bulgarian Network. It started 7 years ago and so far more than 5,200 children have learned about their parents’ workplace, learned what mom and dad are useful to the community and appreciated their work. The purpose of the final part of the program – the Occupational Bazaar – is to help children and young people understand first-hand what a professional is doing in their field, to realize that work is not just a means of earning money, but a need and a value that can bring satisfaction and joy.
