A seminar in Sofia, Bulgaria has been organized and conducted today as a part of New Care project, 2017-1-ES01-KA202-037853, funded under the Erasmus+ Program of the European Commission. . The project results have been presented – Training curriculum for the Professional of reference at EQF 5 Level, E-learning course for the Professional of reference in long-term care centers and Guide on How to use open educational resources.
A discussion also took place focusing on the qualification and skills required in a person-centered care model – debate on the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threatens for Open Educational Resources to face the training needs of the Professional of Reference in long-term care facilities.
Students from Social work major in Sofia University have participated actively in the seminar and shared their opinion how much such trainings are needed to change the quality of care for the elderly in Bulgaria.
